Mona Barbu is a contemporary abstract painter working primarily in acrylics, building layered, textured surfaces with brush, sponge, and occasionally natural materials. Her process begins with intuitive mark-making and spontaneous play, and is slowly refined with intention until each piece finds its own quiet balance between control and surrender.
